Dear partners,
This month’s newsletter is focused on sustainability. At TUI, we believe tourism is a force for good and we want to work with our partners to create a more sustainable future for our industry, as together we can achieve so much more.
In this issue we are sharing lots of news and information on sustainable certification and are excited to announce the Sustainability categories and criteria for the TUI Global Hotel Awards 2023. We’ve also included some best practice sustainability information, updates from the TUI Care Foundation and other news.
Our ambition is to continue to lead on sustainable tourism, building on the progress we have already made. I mentioned last month that TUI is working intensively on its new Sustainability Agenda and next phase of our sustainability journey. We will have concrete targets and results focused on reducing emissions and our agenda will focus on three building blocks – People, Planet and Progress.
A key focus for us will be hotels achieving sustainability certifications. We are encouraging all our partners to demonstrate their commitment by achieving sustainability certifications awarded by an independent body such as Travelife, as it proves you officially meet global sustainability standards.
There is increasing customer demand for more sustainable holiday choices. To make it easier for customers to select a more sustainable holiday when booking with TUI, we are launching a new collection of hotels including hotels that have been sustainably certified. You can find out more details on this and a TUI partner discount code for sustainable certification in the news story below.
As well as reducing the impact of our operations on the planet, being sustainable makes good business sense and reduces costs.
We have a library of information on the sustainability section of TUIPartners.com and dedicated sustainability team to support you.
We hope you will join us on this journey.
