TUI is modernising its airline with new aircraft and to emphasis its long-term partnerships with tourist destinations, is naming its new Boeing 737- 8 aircraft after destinations. Its newest aircraft have been called Heraklion, Antalya, Larnaca and Majorca.
A series of official name-giving ceremonies have taken place this Spring at airports around the world with tourism ministers, local dignitaries, partners, media and members of TUI’s Executive committee all present.
Godmothers were also selected for each aircraft – please see an overview of the godmother for each aircraft below.
