A few weeks ago, there was a major strike at Brussels airport in Belgium and all airlines were asked to cancel all outbound flights from the airport.
Unlike other airlines, TUI Belgium did not cancel any of its flights as it was determined to get all of its customers away on holiday.
TUI Belgium took the decision to move its flights to alternative regional airports and organised enough coaches to transport over 3,500 customers from Brussels to other airports to make their flights.
The logistics were complex, so within hours TUI mobilised dozens of its head office colleagues to support its customers at all regional airports and on coaches.
With the recent airport disruption across the world, TUI colleagues from other areas of the business have been at airports providing face-to-face support to our customers.
