The lifestyle hotel brand TUI Blue has reopened its resort in Zanzibar.
There was a ribbon cutting ceremony with the President of Zanzibar, H.E. Hon. Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi and other representatives of the government to celebrate the reopening. Erik Friemuth, Managing Director TUI Hotels & Resorts, as well as the TUI Blue managing directors Artur Gerber and Jano Martin were also there to welcome guests.

TUI Blue Zanzibar originally opened last year, but after only a few months of operation, the hotel was affected by a fire, which spread from a neighbouring hotel. All guests and staff members were brought to safety, however the hotel had to be temporarily closed for reconstruction.
After 11 months of renovation, the resort designed in African-Arab architectural style reopened with 50 new rooms, as well as new public and dining facilities.
The TUI Blue concept focuses on authentic experiences and offers services tailored to a guest’s individual needs. The hotel provides high quality food as well as a wide range of daytime and evening activities. Zanzibar, is increasingly becoming a popular destination, for both beach holidaymakers and those wanting to explore the culture of the island.
