WORKING TOGETHER TO PROTECT HUMAN RIGHTS
TUI is committed to respecting human rights and we have a number of policies and initiatives in place to monitor, identify, mitigate, prevent and report on human rights. On this page, you’ll find more about our policies and practices that relate to human rights.
GERMAN SUPPLY CHAIN ACT
The German Supply Chain Act (GSCA), effective from January 1, 2023, aims to uphold human rights and environmental standards throughout supply chains. This legislation impacts TUI, our suppliers, and the broader supply chain, both within Germany and globally.
To meet our supply chain due diligence obligations, we focus on several key elements: clearly defined responsibilities, robust risk management, regular risk analyses, preventive measures, complaint procedures, remedial actions, and thorough documentation and reporting.
We have developed the “Human Rights Toolkit” a comprehensive training package for our suppliers and partners. This toolkit provides essential information about the GSCA, its implications for TUI and our supply chain, and offers guidance on preventing, and mitigating key human rights and environmental risks in the tourism sector.
E-LEARNING HUMAN RIGHTS IN TOURISM
Together with other tourism companies and the Futouris initiative, we have developed a free e-learning course on human rights in tourism.
This training helps suppliers understand key human rights topics, including modern slavery, child protection, and fair working conditions, and how to apply them in daily business practices.
We encourage all our suppliers to take part in this training to strengthen human rights across the supply chain. You can access the training here.
TUI HUMAN RIGHTS STATEMENT
We, TUI AG and all legal entities controlled by TUI AG (jointly “TUI” or “TUI Group”) are committed to respect human rights and environmental obligations within our supply chain throughout our worldwide operations. Since we consider the protection of human rights as a key element, TUI is signatory of the UN Global Compact’s 10 universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption since 2014.

HUMAN RIGHTS AND MODERN SLAVERY GUIDELINE
At TUI, we recognize that human rights in tourism go further than compliance. Because our industry brings people from many cultures and countries together, we have a responsibility to protect dignity, freedom and safety in every part of the travel experience. Modern slavery is a crime against humanity. It includes forced and bonded labour, child labour, trafficking, sexual and non-sexual exploitation, and domestic servitude.
This guideline supports you in understanding these issues, recognizing potential risks in tourism settings, and knowing what steps to take if something does not feel right. Available in English, Spanish and Portugese.
SUPPLIER CODE OF CONDUCT
Sets the standards of ethical conduct, values and principles we expect from suppliers. Available here.
GLOBAL EMPLOYMENT STATEMENT
Applies both to our own employees and to our contractual partners. Its focus is the fair and respectful treatment of employees at all levels and compliance with applicable law and industry standards. Available here.
COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
TUI is committed to address any potential compliance violation of our Integrity Passport, the Supplier Code of Conduct, our internal policies and applicable laws, including human rights and environmental sustainability. To facilitate the process, TUI has implemented a complaints procedure through the TUI SpeakUp Line, our whistle-blower hotline (here).
